As of today, “Train” completes Rotersand’s latest album, “Don’t become the thing you hated.” Available on the limited edition CD since August, Train is the most treasured track on the album for some of the CD listeners.
For singer Rasc, it is by far the most personal track on the album. It tells of the integration of a childhood trauma that he was only able to overcome in his late 40s. This trauma manifested itself in a recurring nightmare about a train from which he could never get off, even though he desperately wanted to. The song tells of the miracle that he was able to overcome the trauma associated with the early death of his mother in his early childhood.
